Collect bios from coaches for the website, write, edit and upload to the Glacier website.

Manage the Glacier Buy and Sell page.

Curate and collect information for club-wide distribution and draft email(s) and send to all members.

Manager of WhatsApp

Oversight of the messaging app for club.

Manager, Coaches’ jackets

 

 

Liaise with coaching staff and ensure they return all jackets and also ensure radios are accounted for daily.

Lead(s), Annual General Meeting

 

Plan and organize the club’s annual general meeting. This includes selecting the date, location, organizing food, and coordinating logistics.

Administrator - Race Calendar

 

Create and manage the spreadsheet that includes races for all teams and distribute to club membership.

Skidaddle Committee

 

Plan, organize and prepare for at-home annual Skidaddle race for U08/U10. (Will include some time outdoors, but not necessary to ski).

Annual Banquet Committee

 

Plan, organize, coordinate annual end of season banquet. This includes the creation of the theme, choosing of the location, catering, and includes working with awards curator.

Slalom Slam Committee

Plan, organize and host annual, high-profile Slalom Slam event held in March.

Awards Curator

 

Order and pick up awards/medals for all races/events hosted by Glacier.

Cleaning Crew – Glacier Room

 

Volunteers will manage garbage and ensure the Glacier Room at the upper level of the Moonstone Lodge is kept tidy during the season.

Cleaning Crew – Coaches’ building

 

Every weekend cleaning of both floors, including bathroom, straightening and tidying of the building.

 

Catering Crew – Race days at MSLM

Organize and curate food and beverages for race crews during home races.

Administrator – OCup and FIS Athlete account management

Oversee and track OCup and FIS athlete accounts, payments and follow-up for payment for races athletes attended.

Administrator – Visiting Teams

 

Create and send team receipts to all visiting teams that attend Glacier-hosted events.

In-Training Treasurer

 

Shadow the current treasurer with preparation to gradually assume role by end of season and continue to 24/25 season.

U8 Parent Assistants (on-hill)

Assist coaches with chair lift and other on-hill duties to help manage the smooth running of our U8 program.

On-hill/Outdoor/Skiing Volunteer roles

Photographers – Training (can include some non-skiing)

Take photos and capture short videos of athletes training on the hill throughout the season. The footage will be used for promotions and other video projects.

Set up timing apparatus for coaches on training days.

Set up Bnet every morning and afternoon during training days.

Officiate and accountable for all at-home races.

Oversea all gate judges at home races and events, role includes training others who can fulfill the role.

Assist coaches with any non-ski related duties including ensuring morning arrivals are organized and smooth.
